Flowers

Beautiful flowers grow year-round because it doesn't get that cold here on the north island.  On the south island it seems, from the weather reports, that it has a climate more like the US midwest with a cold snowy winter.  I am glad I am living in the top half of the north island :-)

Here are some flowers I saw along one of my many walks about town.

LB (little bear) went with me on the walk.  When he got home he needed a nap:

  1. I'm surprised at climate difference between north and south... Different ocean currents? Or really that much physical distance between north and south. I think of NZ as no bigger than WI ;-).
